Kanchan Thakar is a licensed physical therapist since 30 years. She likes to integrate restorative yoga in her practice for personal wellness and also for those who need help with mobility and pain issues. Recently, during the pursuit of expanding her horizons, she studied with world renowned restorative Yoga teacher Judith Lasater and got a certification for teaching Restorative yoga.

After years of practicing in outpatient clinics, Kanchan has developed this integrative movement class, to provide an affordable wellness resource in the community. The intention is to provide guidance for a wellness experience in the present for a healthier you in the future.

Cost: $120 for ten sessions if prepaid on first day of class
Join Lisa Konie as she leads this class in Yoga basics, focused on Hatha Yoga poses with emphasis on the details of specific postures, alignment, breathing and relaxation techniques.

The student will be gently guided into a quiet, grounded practice which celebrates the meditative, peaceful qualities of classical yoga. This is a great way to learn the basics and build a solid foundation from the ground up.

Lisa Konie became an avid practitioner of yoga before deepening her practice by completing the Joy of Yoga training program under Jennifer Prugh.

She combines a mindful approach with attention to proper alignment and physical, body awareness.  Lisa is also dedicated to conveying the importance of the philosophy of yoga through readings, quotes, imagery, and themes in each class she leads.

As an attorney, Lisa learned early on that an outlet to release stress was critical to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and was essential to sustainability within the chaos of Silicon Valley.

Off the mat, Lisa loves animals and is a long-term volunteer with the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley, where she volunteers in-hospital, as well as caring for native wildlife in her home.

Lisa is registered with Yoga Alliance (RYT-200) and is currently pursuing her 500-hour certification as well.
