Working with the Board and community to support the center’s mission and operations, the Executive Director helps steward the center with a spirit of care, harmony, and vision — supporting both the practical operations and the deeper spiritual mission.

This role is an offering of karma yoga: through your service, you help sustain a place where others can learn, practice, and benefit. In doing so, you create powerful merit and bring the Dharma into your daily life.

• Merit & Purpose — Directly support the preservation of and spread of the Dharma
• Spiritual Growth — Integrate study, reflection, and service in daily life
• Skills Development — Gain experience in nonprofit leadership, strategy, and community building
• Community Connection — Build strong connections with Sangha and practitioners
• Mentorship & Collaboration — Work with board members, resident teacher, Spiritual Program Coordinator
• Inner Development — Cultivate patience, compassion, ethical discipline, and joyful effort

• Co-create Dharma programs and center activities
• Collaborate with the Board on vision and priorities
• Support basic financial sustainability and planning
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Coordinate volunteers and foster community
• Help oversee day-to-day operations at the Center

Someone who:

• Feels called to serve the Dharma for at least a 2 year commitment
• Fulfills the vision and mission of our gurus and FPMT
• Values compassion, collaboration, teamwork, and integrity
• Is organized and communicative
• Has leadership or coordination experience (helpful, not required)
