The great festival of His Holiness the Dalai Lama's birthday
is celebrated globally on July 6.
This occasion serves as an international Day of Compassion,
when devotees and admirers honor his legacy of nonviolence,
interfaith harmony, and his lifelong work for the well-being of all sentient beings.
Please join us for this special puja to pray for His Holiness’ long life and success!
Lama Zopa Rinpoche offered advice on how to celebrate
His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s birthday.
In the advice, Rinpoche discusses what prayers to recite and in what order, remarking that
Rinpoche later requested that this advice be given to all FPMT centers, projects, and services.
FPMT International Office has collated Rinpoche’s advice into this booklet,
How to Do the Great Festival of His Holiness’ Birthday in the Best Possible Way.
The practice includes some of the following prayers:
- Prayers for the Long Life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama
- Prayer that Spontaneously Fulfills all Wishes
- Remembering the Kindness of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan People, and
- Prayer for Tibet
The practice also includes offering a group kata to the
throne of His Holiness at Vajrapani, which His Holiness
taught from during his visit in 1996.
Come join us to make special prayers and dedication for
His Holiness to live a very long healthy life
and all His bountiful wishes to be fulfilled.
This event is hosted by Vajrapani Institute.
