with Karuna Cayton
Tuesdays, 7:00pm – 9:00pm July 30 – August 20, 2013 (a workshop in four sessions) Join psychotherapist Karuna Cayton in this engaging workshop over four weeks that is appropriate for both Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike. Karuna will share insights and tools from his book, The Misleading Mind, to help free us from the prison of our problems. We each have the potential to transform our suffering into happiness. And, we do this by recognizing the habitual ways our mind perceives and reacts – creating depression, anxiety, and compulsions – the way the mind misleads. You will come away with specific techniques to help you on your path to harmony and happiness. As Karuna says in his book, “We each have the potential to alleviate our own suffering and embody our most authentic self in each and every moment”. This course includes lecture, discussion and meditation. Though the classes build upon one another, each class can be taken independently if your schedule does not permit attending all sessions. |
