Introduction to Mindfulness

Ania will guide you through the foundations of mindfulness, inviting you to practice and discover mindfulness in your unique way. Each session is a blend of didactic teaching, meditation practice, and engaging Q&A.
All are welcome, whether you are a beginner stepping into meditation for the first time, or someone seeking a refresher on the foundational teachings. |
Ania moved from Katowice, Poland to the US in the year 2000. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Silesian University in Poland and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley. Ania has been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2015.
During her clinical career Ania worked as a counselor, case manager, therapist and held leadership roles in various outpatient and residential settings, both working with patients/ clients struggling with mental health concerns and addiction issues. Her areas of clinical focus include chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders (depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, etc.). Ania is a dedicated dharma practitioner. She has practiced in the Insight/Theravada tradition, and at the Spirit Rock Center since 2010. She has been teaching mindfulness and meditation at a local outpatient recovery treatment center since 2020. Currently Ania is a second-year student of the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program, a two-year training program taught by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach to teach mindfulness and meditation. Ania is interested in exploring the intersection between our fast-paced world and the transformational journey of mindfulness practices. |
