Healing Conversations — Planning a Path Forward

with Judy Weitzner

Monday, April 19, 2021

6:00pm–7:30pm PDT (Pacific Daylight Time)

a monthly program

We are using the Zoom video conferencing system for this course.  Please register below to receive your online access information.
In this session we welcome special guest Judy Weitzner who will help us to envision a path to planning for later life and end of life care, to avoid falling into an unanticipated cascade of events. Learn to open the conversation to deep listening and guide it eventually to what else may be going on, the underlying causes and related problems that may only come to light when a trusting relationship is established.

Death is one of the most difficult transitions we make, but often we hesitate to even discuss it. Not talking about dying can have a negative impact on our mental health and the way we live our lives, particularly now as the Covid Pandemic has brought the fragility of life front and center. Being open about our fears can help us develop the tools we need to prepare us to meet loss with courage and compassion.

This ongoing program will create an opportunity to discuss the many aspects of death and dying and go in-depth to study and contemplate death with an aim to decrease fear and develop tools to cope with the end of our own lives as well as to help loved ones and other community members who are struggling with loss.
